 5 ways to beat MASK BREATH

Masks are recommended whenever we go out to slow the spread of covid 19.But there is problem - Mask Breath when you wear mask regularly and for prolonged period of time.

1. Watch what you're eating 


Coffee, onions, garlic and other pungent foods can give you nasty breath. Fight back with food like lemons, basil and veggies. 

2. Drink water 


Drink water to combat dry mouth Dry mouth causes breath to smell. 
Drink lots of water before heading out and whenever your mask is off.

3. Don't smoke


Smoker's breath is brutal, so there's no solution here but to quit smoking. However you can continue the habit of chewing a gum. Make sure the gum is sugar free. 

4. Change/clean your mask regularly 


If using the disposable type of medical masks, change frequently. if you're using a homemade cloth mask, wash often.

5. Brush your teeth regularly 


Brush your teeth with fluoride tooth paste at least twice a day. Don’t leave out your tongue and cheeks as these spots harbour bacteria than can cause bad breath. 

And always carry an extra mask in case of some unforseen events.
